Working from Home with Mobile

With recent developments many staff are choosing to work remotely. With this is mind we outline a few options if you and your staff will be working from home with mobile.

Option 1 If you have a network branded mobile phone, then you can use your phone as a mobile hotspot and make and take calls at the same time. A modern network branded smart phone will offer Voice Over LTE or VOLTE to make this possible.

Option 2 If your mobile device is old or is sim-free then it is very unlikely you can use VOLTE and so cannot use calls and mobile broadband at the same time. You can still run a mobile hotspot from your phone and tether up to 8 devices but the data connection will drop out if a call is being made.

Option 3

If you are not using a VOLTE compliant phone, you can connect a mi-fi or dongle to a computer or tablet. A Dongle or Mi-fi enables you to tether to other devices and share your internet connection.
